Dubai has some of the largest theme parks in the Middle East, and they are made for families. You can build with LEGO® bricks, step into the world of Shrek or Kung Fu Panda, or ride a roller coaster in a park that is completely indoors.
Most of the parks are at Dubai Parks and Resorts, between Dubai and Abu Dhabi: LEGOLAND® Dubai, the LEGOLAND® Water Park and Motiongate™ Dubai. IMG Worlds of Adventure is closer to the city and fully air-conditioned, with Marvel and Cartoon Network zones.

About Dubai Theme Parks
Dubai Parks and Resorts opened in 2016 near Jebel Ali, about 30 to 40 minutes' drive from Downtown Dubai. It groups several parks with shared parking, shuttles, hotels and a dining street, so you can stay for more than one day.
IMG Worlds of Adventure opened the same year on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. It covers 1.5 million square feet under one roof, which makes it a good choice in the summer heat.
What to expect on a Dubai Theme Parks experience
A day pass gives unlimited access to the rides, shows and attractions in one park. Many rides have height limits, so check them if you travel with small children. Queues are longest at weekends and on public holidays.
At Dubai Parks and Resorts, the LEGOLAND® and Motiongate™ tickets include free parking at the P1 and P2 car parks and the shuttle. At IMG Worlds of Adventure, change your voucher for a printed ticket at ticket counter D.
Outside food is not allowed in most parks. Lockers are available to rent.
Best time to visit
The outdoor parks are most comfortable from October to April. In summer, go at opening time or in the late afternoon, and plan indoor breaks.
IMG Worlds of Adventure is indoors, so it works well all year, and it is a good plan for a very hot day.
Getting around
Dubai Parks and Resorts is on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi. The easiest way there is by car or taxi. Some public buses connect with the Dubai Metro.
IMG Worlds of Adventure is in City of Arabia, off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. A taxi or ride-hailing car is the most practical option.
