At the tip of Palm Jumeirah, the pink towers of Atlantis, The Palm are one of the most recognisable sights in Dubai. You do not need to stay at the resort to enjoy it. Day visitors can spend hours on the slides of Aquaventure World, walk through the Lost World Aquarium or come for dinner.

Aquaventure World is one of the largest waterparks in the world, with extreme slides, river rides and a private beach. The Lost World Aquarium tells the legend of the lost city of Atlantis through 14 chambers and more than 65,000 sea animals. In the evening, the resort's buffets serve food from around the world.

The cards below show single tickets, combo passes and dining options.

About Atlantis, The Palm

Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree, built from sand dredged from the sea floor. Atlantis, The Palm opened on its outer crescent in 2008 and quickly became a symbol of the new Dubai.

In 2023 a second resort, Atlantis The Royal, opened a short distance along the crescent, with its own restaurants, including the Gastronomy buffet. Together the two resorts form one of the busiest leisure areas in the city.

What to expect on a Atlantis, The Palm experience

At Aquaventure World, show your ticket at the Aquaventure ticketing plaza. The park has slides for every level, from gentle family rides to near-vertical drops, plus long river rides and a private beach. Towels, lockers and cabanas are available to rent.

The Lost World Aquarium is indoors and air-conditioned, which makes it a good choice on a hot afternoon. Plan one to two hours. The dinner buffets last about two hours and have dress codes, so check the card before you go.

Best time to visit

Aquaventure World is open all year, but the best months are from October to April, when the sun is warm but not extreme. In summer, arrive at opening time and take breaks in the shade.

Weekends and school holidays are the busiest days at the waterpark. A weekday visit means shorter queues for the slides.

Getting around

The Palm Monorail runs along the trunk of Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis Aquaventure station at the resort. Its first stop, Palm Gateway, connects with the Dubai Tram.

Taxis and ride-hailing cars can take you directly to the resort entrances. The dinner buffets include free valet parking.
