Germany asked Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich to design its pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition. The building came down after the fair, but architects never forgot it. It was rebuilt in 1986 on its original site at the foot of Montjuïc.
Inside, you see clean lines, glass, water and rare stone from the Alps, Italy, Greece and the Atlas Mountains. Your ticket gives you entry to the pavilion, its garden and its architecture bookshop, and a free audio guide on your phone.
Your ticket also gives you 50% off at CaixaForum. The first Sunday of each month, entry to the pavilion is free and needs no ticket.
