The Barcelona Aquarium stands in Port Vell, the old harbor of Barcelona. It has more than 80 tanks with Mediterranean and tropical sea life, home to about 11,000 animals from 600 species.
The main sight is the Oceanarium. Its 80-meter tunnel takes you under the water, with sharks, moray eels and rays all around you. Newer areas include an interactive digital floor at the entrance and Journey to the Depths, an immersive room.
Children can draw a digital fish in Aqua Protectors and watch it swim on screen. The mangrove area has games and displays to touch and explore. Your ticket gives you access to all areas and exhibitions.
