Benedictine monks have lived at Santa Maria de Montserrat for centuries. The basilica holds the 12th-century Virgin of Montserrat, the Black Madonna, one of the patron saints of Catalonia.
Your ticket includes the basilica, access to La Moreneta, the Montserrat Museum, the open-air museum and the audiovisual space. You pick one of two options: the Escolania boys' choir, or an audio guide in six languages.
With the choir option, your time is the time of the song. Arrive 15 minutes early. You can see the other sights before or after. Transport to Montserrat is not included.
