Question 1

How long do walking tours in Madrid usually last?

Accepted Answer

Most Madrid walking tours last between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the route, group size and number of stops. Museum tours, tapas tours and private tours may vary in length depending on the selected experience.

Question 2

Are walking tours in Madrid free?

Accepted Answer

Some Madrid walking tours are free to book and work on a tip-based model. This means there is no fixed upfront price, and guests can tip the guide at the end based on their satisfaction and budget. Other tours have a fixed price, especially museum tours, tapas tours, small-group tours and private experiences.

Question 3

What languages are walking tours offered in?

Accepted Answer

Artista Tours offers walking tours and cultural experiences in several languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian and Norwegian, depending on the selected tour, city and guide availability. Please check the language options on each tour page before booking.

Question 4

Are evening or late-night tapas tours available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Madrid is one of the best cities in Spain for evening food and tapas experiences. Some tours may include traditional tapas areas, local bars, food markets or evening routes through lively neighbourhoods. Availability depends on the selected tour and schedule.

Question 5

Do I need to reserve museum tickets separately?

Accepted Answer

Museum tickets are only included when clearly mentioned in the tour description. For Prado Museum or Reina Sofía Museum guided tours, check each product page to confirm whether skip-the-line tickets or entrance tickets are included, or whether they need to be purchased separately.

Question 6

What are the best tours to do in Madrid?

Accepted Answer

For first-time visitors, the best tours in Madrid usually include an Old Town walking tour, a Prado Museum guided tour, a Reina Sofía Museum tour, a tapas experience or a route through Habsburg Madrid and the Literary Quarter. Artista Tours offers different options depending on whether you want history, art, food or local culture.

Question 7

Do Madrid tours include the Royal Palace?

Accepted Answer

Some Madrid walking tours include the Royal Palace area from the outside, but entrance tickets are not included unless clearly stated in the tour description. If you want to visit the interior of the Royal Palace, choose a tour that specifically includes entry or book tickets separately.
