“Agustin was great!”
Agustin was very personable and communicated very well before and during the tour. He provided extensive background of the artists and what was happening around them that allowed a much more in depth interpretation of the artwork. Thank you to Agustin for a memorable tour!

Full description
Begin your experience at the iconic Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, home to Spain’s most important collection of modern and contemporary art.
With your expert guide, move beyond simply looking at paintings — understand the ideas, emotions, and historical context behind them.
Start with the powerful realism of early 20th-century Spain, where artists captured a society shaped by tension, religion, and inequality. These works set the foundation for a radical artistic transformation.
Continue into Cubism, where artists like Pablo Picasso and Juan Gris broke traditional perspective and reinvented how reality could be represented. Learn how geometry, philosophy, and Parisian influence changed art forever.
Then enter the world of Surrealism, guided by the imagination of Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró. Discover hidden symbols, dreamlike imagery, and the influence of psychology on art.
The highlight of your visit is Picasso’s Guernica, one of the most powerful anti-war paintings ever created. Your guide will break down its meaning, symbolism, and historical significance — turning a complex masterpiece into a deeply moving experience.
Throughout the tour, enjoy a clear, engaging narrative designed to make modern art accessible, even if you have no prior knowledge.
