Some of Italy's most memorable moments happen just beyond the cities. Our day trips and excursions take you into the countryside on comfortable private car journeys, reaching places that are difficult to enjoy on a rushed public-transport schedule.
Spend a day exploring the vineyards and hilltop villages of Tuscany, wander the medieval streets of Siena, drive through the cinematic Val d'Orcia, or escape north to the villas and gardens of Lake Como. Each excursion is designed to feel unhurried, scenic and genuinely local.
Sobre Italy
Italy is a country best explored region by region. From a base in Florence or the Tuscan hills, day trips fan out to Siena, the Val d'Orcia and countryside wine estates, all within easy reach by car. Further north, Lake Como makes a spectacular day out among lakeside towns and mountain scenery. Because so much of Italy's beauty lies between destinations, private car excursions let you make the most of a single day without long waits or transfers.
O que esperar de uma experiência em Italy

Melhor altura para visitar
April to June and September to October are ideal, with warm weather, harvest season in the vineyards and fewer crowds than midsummer. July and August are hot and busy, and many locals leave the cities in mid-August (Ferragosto). Winter is quieter and atmospheric, great for cities and lower prices, though some coastal and rural spots wind down.
Como se deslocar
Italy's high-speed trains (Frecciarossa and Italo) link Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan and Naples in a few comfortable hours; book ahead for the best fares. Regional trains reach smaller towns. Within cities, walking is best, supplemented by metros in Rome and Milan and vaporetto water buses in Venice. Renting a car suits Tuscany and the countryside, but avoid driving in historic city centres (ZTL zones carry fines).
Perguntas frequentes
Favourite excursions include Siena and the medieval hill towns, the UNESCO-listed Val d'Orcia, and countryside wine estates. Each can be reached comfortably by private car, making it easy to combine several highlights in one day.
Yes. Most of our Italy excursions are built around private car travel with a professional driver, so you enjoy door-to-door pickup, scenic routing and the freedom to stop where you like without depending on trains or coaches.
Lake Como is a spectacular day-trip destination, best enjoyed with a full day to explore its lakeside towns, historic villas and gardens. A private excursion lets you cover more ground and reach the most scenic viewpoints.
Most excursions run as full days of roughly eight to ten hours, with shorter half-day options available. Private transport means timings can flex around your group and the season.
Very much so. Guided day trips are an easy, low-stress way to see Tuscany's countryside, medieval towns and lakes without planning routes or logistics yourself, making them ideal for first-time visitors.
