After meeting your guide, travel through Tenerife’s remarkable volcanic landscapes towards Teide National Park. Guests who book the dinner option will stop at a local restaurant and enjoy a three-course meal before continuing into the mountains.

If you select transportation without dinner, you will have approximately one hour of free time at the restaurant while the other guests eat. You may purchase a drink at the bar, relax on the terrace or bring your own snack.

Continue to a carefully selected viewpoint to watch the sun disappear behind the horizon. Weather permitting, you will experience the spectacular sight of the sunset above the clouds as the sky fills with vivid colours.

Once darkness falls, your guide will choose the best available stargazing location based on the evening’s weather, clouds and visibility. Teide National Park’s high altitude and low levels of light pollution provide exceptional conditions for observing the night sky.

Using a powerful green laser pointer, your astronomy guide will identify important stars and constellations while explaining how ancient civilizations used the sky for navigation and storytelling.

Look through professional telescopes to observe celestial objects that may include the Moon and its craters, visible planets, star clusters, double stars, nebulae and distant galaxies. When seasonal and weather conditions allow, you may also see the Andromeda Galaxy or the Milky Way stretching across the sky.

Your guide will show you how to take impressive photographs of the night sky using your smartphone through the telescope.

An optional professional photography service may also be available during the sunset and stargazing portions of the tour for an additional charge.

At the end of the experience, guests who selected transportation will be returned to their original pickup location.
