The Viking Planet is at Fridtjof Nansens plass, by Oslo City Hall and the harbour. It calls itself the world's first digital Viking museum.
Instead of glass cases, you meet the Vikings through technology. Life-size holograms tell their stories, you climb aboard a virtual longship, and you help defend a village. Touch screens let you turn and explore 3D models of real Viking finds, from weapons to jewellery.
The exhibitions come in 12 languages, and a digital guide is included with your ticket. Take photos at the selfie stations and pick up a small souvenir to take home.
