The Acropolis rises over the centre of Athens. Its temples were built in the 5th century BC, when Athens was the heart of the Greek world.
Your ticket covers the Acropolis and its slopes: the Parthenon, the Erechtheion with its Caryatids, the Theatre of Dionysus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Choose a digital guide for the Acropolis, or one that also covers the Plaka district below.
Go to the main west entrance at your time slot. You cannot re-enter after you leave. The site can close on very hot days.
