Thiene Castle: Entrance to the 15th-century Venetian residence

Step inside Thiene Castle and discover a historic 15th-century residence in the heart of the city. The tour takes you through the rooms open to the public, including frescoed halls, period furnishings, and artwork that tell the story of the family and life in the residence.

Continue on to the 18th-century stables and outdoor areas, all the way to the large park surrounding the property. The tour is self-guided, and you can follow along with dedicated digital content that delves into the castle’s history, architecture, and details.

The castle is a rare example of a pre-Palladian Venetian villa, featuring elements of a medieval castle and the subsequent tradition of Venetian villas. The tour lasts about an hour, at your own pace.

Open on Saturdays and Sundays. The ground floor is accessible via ramps; the first floor is not wheelchair accessible. Photography is prohibited inside the rooms; photos are allowed outdoors. Dogs on a leash are permitted in the park; only small dogs are allowed inside the castle. The castle is located in a restricted traffic zone (ZTL): please park in nearby areas.
