The experience takes place at the Paper Museum in Pescia, located in the historic Le Carte di Pietrabuona paper mill—an 18th-century building linked to the region’s paper-making tradition.
In the “We Are All Master Papermakers” workshop, the artisans from Impresa Magnani Pescia will show you the traditional techniques for creating a sheet of handmade paper and explain what makes each sheet unique and valuable.
Then it’s your turn: with their help, you’ll make your own sheet of paper, which you can take home as a souvenir. The workshop lasts about 2 hours, is conducted in Italian, and is suitable for adults and families. It begins at 11:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m., every day; a minimum of 5 participants is required.
