Chianti: Workshop on Sangiovese and Canaiolo at the Castle

Enjoy an experience dedicated to the historic grape varieties of Chianti Classico at Castello della Paneretta, an estate with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1596.

The activity begins with a private guided tour of the castle and the historic wine cellar. Discover the connection between the estate, its vineyards, and the two grape varieties that symbolize local production: Sangiovese and Canaiolo.

You’ll then move from a simple tasting to a guided sensory workshop. With the help of an estate expert, compare three selected wines and learn to observe their color, recognize their aromas, and evaluate their structure and tannins. No prior knowledge is required.

Pair the wines with Tuscan cured meats, pecorino cheese, and bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil. With the light lunch option, Tuscan ribollita is added, and to finish, cantuccini with Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC.
