MUSE—the Trento Science Museum, housed in Renzo Piano’s building in the Le Albere neighborhood—is one of Italy’s leading science museums. Spanning six floors, it explores nature, evolution, the mountains, biodiversity, technology, and sustainability, taking visitors on a journey from the mountain peaks to the origins of life.
Discover glaciers and the Dolomites, the biodiversity of the Alps, fossils, dinosaurs, DNA, and human history, with many interactive exhibits. Don’t miss the approximately 600 m² tropical greenhouse, which recreates an East African ecosystem, and the large central space featuring suspended animals and skeletons. Temporary exhibitions along the regular tour route are included.
Admission every 15 minutes: Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; closed Mondays. Self-guided tour lasting about 2.5 hours (maximum 3 hours). The museum is accessible and equipped with elevators. Children 2 years old and under are admitted free.
