Cálem has made port wine since 1859, and its cellars stand on the Gaia riverbank, opposite Porto.
A guide leads you through the cellars and explains how port is made and aged. Then you taste a white and a red port while singers perform fado, the soulful music of Portugal. The cellar tour is in English.
Arrive at least 10 minutes early, because the guide cannot wait for late arrivals.
