The Conciergerie was part of the medieval royal palace on the Île de la Cité. During the French Revolution it became a prison, and Queen Marie Antoinette spent her last days here.
See the Salle des Gens d'Armes, the largest surviving medieval hall in Europe, and the reconstructed prison cells. The Histopad tablet, available until 16:30, shows the rooms as they once were.
