The Vesuvio Express is the shortest way from the town of Ercolano, near ancient Herculaneum, to the Great Cone of Vesuvius. The bus climbs through Vesuvius National Park, and from the end of the road you walk to the crater.
Your ticket includes the roundtrip bus from Ercolano and skip-the-line entry to Vesuvius National Park. You receive the park ticket at the office or when you board the bus.
Meet at the Vesuvio Express office, Via Vittorio Veneto 8, Ercolano, 15 minutes before departure. In bad weather the crater can close, and the trip can be rescheduled or refunded. Bring water, good shoes, sun protection in summer and warm clothes in winter.
