Tivoli lies about 30 km from Rome, and its two villas are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Villa d'Este is a Renaissance palace famous for its terraced gardens and hundreds of fountains. Villa Adriana, or Hadrian's Villa, was the vast country retreat of the Emperor Hadrian.
A bus takes you from Rome and back, and a live guide explains both sites, with headsets so you hear clearly. Skip-the-line entry to both villas is included. The tour lasts about 7 hours.
Meet at the Castro Pretorio metro station (line B) 25 minutes before the 09:30 start. The tour ends at the same place. Lunch is not included.
