Santa Maria Maggiore is one of the four major papal basilicas of Rome, famous for its 5th-century mosaics.
This ticket opens areas most visitors never see: the dome, the Blessing Loggia, the Hall of Popes and the spiral staircase by Bernini. It also includes the Liberian Museum, with sacred art and the history of the basilica. The visit lasts about 30 minutes.
It is not suitable for children under 7, or for people with heart problems, vertigo or walking difficulties. Bags are not allowed.
