The eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79 buried two Roman towns. Pompeii was covered by ash, and Herculaneum by a deep layer of volcanic material that kept its houses, wood and paintings in remarkable condition. This full day takes you to both towns and to the volcano itself.
The trip includes skip-the-line tickets to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius National Park, an audio guide and map for Pompeii, and roundtrip transport from Naples. A guided tour and food are not included. If bad weather closes Vesuvius, part of the ticket is refunded.
The coach leaves from near Via Galileo Ferraris 40 in Naples and has the Around Vesuvio logo. Bring a valid photo ID. You cannot leave bags on the coach during the visits.
