Khao Yai National Park is about 3 hours north-east of Bangkok and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a coffee stop at The Birder's Lodge, walk a nature trail with a park ranger and look for birds, reptiles and other wildlife. With luck, you may see wild elephants.
After lunch, walk to the Haew Suwat Waterfall. Transport is in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the 400 THB park entrance fee is included.
